E3 Philosophy
The educational goals of B.A.L.L. Association is to enrich the lives of Baltimore City youth by Educating them about a part of history that could help to Encourage them to have pride in who they are. Providing them with a window into the history of the Negro Leagues and those that played the game of baseball because of their love and passion for the game, will Empower them to strive to be the best that they can be.

Through the following programs we will apply our E3 philosophy, Educate, Empower and Encourage:
A.C.E. (Attendance Creates Excellence) was created to give incentives to Baltimore City Middle school students to attend school everyday. Students that achieve perfect attendance monthly will be awarded in person by Negro League Goodwill Ambassador or a former Negro League ballplayer.
R.B.I. (Reading Builds Intelligence) will help to encourage youth to read throughout the year, by providing the youth of the baseball leagues in Baltimore City with books that tell inspiring stories about the Negro Leagues and Blacks in baseball. Annually the RBI Read-a-thon will be held with awards and prizes going to the top readers.
The E3 Scholarship Program was created in 2008 to benefit eligible graduating seniors from Baltimore City high schools that have excelled in academics, athletics and citizenship/community service.
Future goals are to include educational scholarships to be awarded to Baltimore City youth in elementary and middle schools.
Help to Educate, Empower, and Encourage our youth!!!
